Account Specialist
This is an onsite position based in the City of Industry, so candidates must be based in the Los Angeles area
Position Summary:
The Brighton Account Specialist serves as a critical partner to both Brighton’s wholesale customers and Account Executives and is the cornerstone of the exceptional experience Brighton provides. This role ensures seamless operations and provides exceptional support in credit management, order processing, customer service, and promotional initiatives. Account Specialists act as the go-to resource for resolving customer issues, building business relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Ideal candidates for this role must have a genuine desire to build lasting relationships and thrive in an environment that requires both empathy and flexibility, navigating constant change with composure, professionalism and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer and Account Management
Provide dedicated support to 10-12 Account Executives and their assigned customers.
Handle customer inquiries, order placement, returns, repairs, and promotional material management with authority to issue credits and reimbursements for accommodations and promotions.
Set up and assist customers with the Brighton customer portal and ensure that they are familiar with all business-building and marketing tools that Brighton offers.
Manage customer concerns, offering solutions, de-escalating and escalating when necessary.
Credit and Financial Management
Oversee accounts receivable, making credit decisions, collecting past-due payments, and managing credit arrangements.
Utilize knowledge of credit tools such as letters of credit, UCC filings, guarantees and shipment plans as needed to ensure that all orders may be shipped as ordered without delay.
Operational Excellence
Maintain accurate records, including internet agreements, resale certificates, and authorization forms.
Quickly assess and resolve issues, performing root cause analysis and working with other departments to ensure issues are eliminated
Facilitate order shipments, including drop-ships, ensuring that customer shipping needs are met.
Support events such as sales meetings and customer-focused gatherings, contributing to planning, coordination and execution.
Collaboration and Relationship Building
Partner daily with Account Executives to support the business in their territory and ensure that they have the tools they need to support their customers.
Foster a cooperative team atmosphere with other Account Specialists to provide continuous support to our customers.
Build long-term relationships with customers by offering tailored recommendations and support.
Reporting and Data Management
Provide customers with data on best-selling items and product recommendations.
Utilize all resources to meet unique customer needs and provide them data they need to manager their business
Ensure customers have updated UPC codes, barcodes and scan sheets as needed.
Ensure compliance with credit policies and maintain records for audits.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in customer service, account management, or credit management.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently while also being a flexible and collaborative team player.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
